Into the very heart of winter

Ice climbing in Tirol In February 2006 I was fortunate to come across 4 formidable German climbers. One of them is a mountain guide and expert in ice climbing, the other three - just like me - beginners in the world of frozen waterfalls and icy slopes. So we went to learn a bit of Winter Vertical in North-Tirol, somewhere in the No-Man's-Land between Germany (Allgau) and Austria (Tirol). Their videocamera seemed not to tolerate the cold, but my pocket Minolta worked in the safer moments.
My sincere gratitude to all four of my friends for their lovable nature, patience and helpfulness.
My absolute gratitude to the Supreme for making the venture without major accidents and avalanches and for helping me to overcome low temperature, hostile weather, technical difficulties and gravitation.
